Ravenstonedale 10K - 28th November
The Ravenstonedale 10k had good weather despite being wet underfoot from the previous weekend's flooding. The challenging course between Kirby Stephen and Tebay was very undulating on single track roads with no traffic to contend with.
In the 10k Peter Milburn finished 2nd 050 vet in 38.40. Julia Atkinson-Tait finished in approximately 45 minutes and was first lady 040.
Thirsk 10 miles - 29th November
Four members ran here in atrocious conditions underfoot- deep standing water in several places. First home was Bede Feechan in 71:36, followed by John Edmondson, 75:36, Dave Mackenzie 84:22 despite having a decent run to 8 miles then getting cramp or a muscle pull and losing 3 mins in a last 2 miles of intermittent jogging and walking, and Dave Mcdonald, 98;53. A good course for good times with 1010 finishers.
