Inter Counties at Acklam, Middlesbrough - 2nd February

James Askew was in top form at the Acklam Course coming in 11th place and 4th counter for Durham Schools, James has now Qualified for the English Schools Championships at Liverpool and his coach George Reid is pleased his hard winter training has come to fruit.

NYSD X/C - 10th February
Newton Aycliffe AC  had five runners at the NYSD cross country at Stockton on Sunday the 10th Feb, 
In the under 15 boys Daniel Inglis ran a good race for 10th place 13.44  his best placing to date.
In the under 17 boys race , James Askew made it into the top three  in 21.05.
Senior men,   First back for the club  was Martin Randall 45th 30.22 ,  Reid 59th 33.15, Colin Gibson 73rd 35.31.


More Track news - Guisborough - 13th February
This time taking part in a proper track race at Guisborough, James Askew runs sub 10 min for 3,000 metres. James smashed his own time to record 9.40. The next night he jogged round the 1 mile time trial to obliterate the field.

Fell Race news - Ladies win Team!
Castleton 8 Mile fell race North Yorks. 17th February
Despite a severe overnight frost  5 N.A.A.C. Runners made the 40 mile trip to the Eskdale hotel start line, after a severe scramble out of Castleton Club Captain Martin (Gazelle) Randall  made light work of the sheep tracks hidden by frozen heather and slippy rocks Martin finshed in 64mins.   followed by Peter Milburn in 66  then Susan Milburn led the ladies team in after a few wrong turns, Susan finished in 84mins then closely followed by Darlington Duo Julia Atkinson  in 85 and Janet McRae also in 85.
