Coniston 14 mile road race - 5th April
Two Aycliffe runners represented the club at Coniston. The Scenic course always attracts a big entry, 1st back for the club was the very keen John 'Armani' Edmondson in 1.48.44 who's using this race as a build up for the Prague Marathon in May, Next the very experienced Ray Halton who is also preparing for the London Marathon finished in 1.56.45.
Hartlepool Marina 5 mile race - 6th April
Aycliffe's top vet. Floyd Jones had a flyer to Seaton Carew and back finishing in 29.33 and 19th position, then Richard Campbell ran well to finish in 32.47 and 47th position, next David White finished in 35.22 and 66th position, finally Stuart Campbell finished in 43.43 and 162nd position.
Guisborough Moors race held - 13th April
3 Aycliffe runners took part in the gruelling event which includes Captain Cooks Monument and Roseberry Topping, First back was Martin Randall who ran a good race to finish in 33rd place and 1hr 41mins then Julia Atkinson-Tait and Janet Raper finished together in 2hrs 19mins.
Tees Forest Trail Race - Guisborough - 17th April
4 Aycliffe runners headed to Guisborough again, this time it was the 1st event in the Tees Forest Trail Race series held at Pinchinthorpe Wood. Richard Campbell, who continues to improve this year, ran well to finish in 11th spot, time19.23, then keen trail racer Gordon Carver finished well up the field in 22nd position, 21.05, next David White finished just behind in 24th place, time 21.19, finally Stuart Campbell finished in 60th position, time 26.14.

Hawkeshead Trail Race - 19th April
This event fills up early with over 800 entries and is very popular with road runners and fell runners alike, 1st back and finding the early pace too hot was Peter Milburn back in 60th position in 1hr 15mins, next John Edmondson finished in 292nd place, time 1hr 31mins, finally and not far behind Sue Milburn took it easier around the hilly course in 295th place, time 1.31.43.
Redcar Half Marathon - Kirkleatham - 20th April
9 Aycliffe runners took part in this very popular Half Marathon. First back was Club Captain Martin Randall in an impressive 1hr 23 mins, followed bylong distance specialist Julia Atkinson-Tait who finished in a good time of 1hr 32mins, then the very experienced Richard Harvey finished in a good 1hr 38 mins, next Janet Raper ran a good race to finish in 1hr 40mins, Floyd Jones finished in 1hr 41mins, followed by Trish Kay who ran a pb of 1hr 43:35 in the cold and windy conditions. Bishop Auckland Duo Caroline Holmes and John Young finished together in 1hr 46, and finally Dave Mackenzie finished in a very good 1hr 51mins.
Sedgefield Harriers Neptune Relays - 23rd April
Aycliffe sent 2 teams to compete in the scenic event, In the A .Team and going off on the 1st leg Richard Campbell finished in 10.23, next on the 2nd
leg Junior Daniel Inglis in 10.32, 3rd leg George Reid in 10.56, then last leg Peter Milburn in 10.21 the team finished in 3rd. The B Team had John Burnside time 11.15, Simon Robinson 12.10, Jeff Thurlbeck 11.14, Stuart Campbell 13.50.
The Wild Race - Hamsterley Forest - 27th April
This event, described as a trail race, saw Martin Randall finishing well up the field in 6th position, time 51.09, next Julia Atkinson-Tait enjoying her off road running finished in 62.02 and was second lady, then Chris Forster finished in 67.43.
